Destination flagged content as AI-generated - causes and fixes
Some destinations auto-detect AI-generated content and may require manual disclosure regardless. Enable the platform's AI toggle at upload; remove C2PA / IPTC credentials if you don't want the label; dispute false positives through the in-app form.
Check these first
- Check the destination's content settings for an AI-content toggle.
- Inspect whether C2PA / IPTC content credentials are embedded in the source.
- Check the destination's published AI content policy for the current disclosure rules.
Likely causes
- Destination auto-detected AI cues
Visual / audio fingerprinting can flag generative content even when no label is set.
- Creator did not disclose AI generation
Many destinations require manual disclosure for AI-generated content.
- C2PA / IPTC content credentials embedded by generator
Some generators embed provenance metadata; the destination can read it.
Fix it
- Enable the platform's AI disclosure toggle
Most destinations expose a toggle in the post settings.
- Strip C2PA / IPTC credentials before upload
Strip via your generator's export settings; re-export a copy.
- File a dispute if incorrectly flagged
Use the in-app form to dispute a wrong auto-label; provide original generation method.
