Why is my video blurry after converting it? Causes & fixes

- The source was already heavily compressed
Re-compressing a file that has already been through lossy compression once (or several times, if it was re-shared) compounds the quality loss. The blur or blockiness may be baked in before this platform touches it.
- Converting from an already-converted copy, not the original
Each lossy re-encode discards more detail than the last - always convert from the original source when one is available.
Fix it
- Re-export from the original source
Rather than repairing a suspect file, export a fresh copy from the camera roll or editor and try that instead.
