Why is my thumbnail or cover image cropped wrong?
Compare the original cover with the specific placement preview. A thumbnail, feed card and profile grid can use different framing. Check that placement’s aspect ratio and crop preview rather than assuming one exact size prevents every crop.
Check these first
- Source image dimensions vs. the exact target size for that placement
Likely causes
- The preview uses a different frame
A player or placement may crop or pad the image. The image-size directory is a starting reference; confirm the current placement before export.
Fix it
- Check the placement and preview the crop
Use the size directory to identify the intended asset, then verify its current framing in the target app. Keep text and important subjects away from edges.
