What this can and cannot tell you
- It reads
Dimensions, aspect ratio, duration, exact byte size, the filename extension and the MIME type the browser reports.
- It cannot read
The codec inside the container, the bitrate, the frame rate or whether a file is corrupted. Browser metadata does not expose those, and this page does not guess at them.
- Extension versus MIME
If those two disagree, the file was probably renamed rather than converted - a common cause of uploads that fail for no visible reason.
