Video too large for X? How to check and fix it
X documents a 512 MB limit for web video uploads without Premium. Check your current account and composer. A file over that limit also exceeds our browser tool’s 100 MB input cap; export a smaller copy locally first.

Likely causes
- File is over the size limit
Compare the exact file size with the limit for your account and upload surface: ~512 MB on a standard account. A failed upload alone does not identify its cause.
Fix it

Try a smaller output preset on a copy, then check the generated size and quality. Re-encoding can lose detail and does not guarantee a smaller file or platform acceptance. This tool accepts files up to 100 MB. For a larger source, export a smaller copy in your local editor first.
