CapCut how-to
How to remove the CapCut watermark (ending clip, templates)
Short answer
CapCut doesn't stamp a watermark on exported videos; the logo comes from the short CapCut ending clip at the end of the timeline, or from a logo element inside a template. Scroll to the end of the timeline, select the ending clip and delete it, check other tracks for logo layers, then export. On mobile you can also turn off the default ending in settings so new projects don't get it.
Checked against: CapCut mobile (iOS, Android), CapCut desktop (Windows, Mac) and CapCut Online, October 2026.
Method 1: Delete the ending clip
Go to the end of the timeline
Open the project (or the template project) and scroll to the end of the timeline.
Delete the CapCut ending
Select the short clip with the CapCut logo and delete it.
Check every track
Look through overlay, text and sticker tracks for logo layers; replace template placeholders with your own media.
Export
Preview, then export normally. The file is saved without the watermark.
Method 2: Stop it being added (mobile)
Turn off Add default ending
On the CapCut home screen, open Settings and switch off Add default ending. New projects then start without the outro.
Where a CapCut logo comes from
| Source of the logo | Fix |
|---|---|
| Default ending clip at the end of the timeline | Select it and delete it |
| Logo layer inside a template | Delete or replace that element |
| Stock elements with attribution | Use your own media instead |
| Third-party template downloader | Don't use it; export in CapCut |
If it doesn't work
| What you see | Fix |
|---|---|
| Watermark still shows after deleting the ending | A template element carries the logo. Check every track and replace or delete that element. |
| No ending clip but a logo appears | You may be exporting a template through a share screen that adds branding; open it in the editor and export from there. |
| A site promises watermark-free downloads | CapCut warns these downloaders are unnecessary and can lower quality or be unsafe. Delete the ending and export inside CapCut. |
Questions people ask
Does CapCut add a watermark to every video?
No. CapCut says it doesn't add a watermark to exports; the branded ending clip and some template elements do.
Do I need CapCut Pro to remove the watermark?
No. Deleting the ending clip is free. Pro features you used may prompt you to subscribe before exporting, which is a different thing.
Can I remove someone else's watermark from a video?
That's a different task, and removing another creator's watermark to repost their work can break platform rules and copyright. This guide covers CapCut's own branding.

The Add default ending setting follows the current CapCut mobile app as described by several current guides; the rest is from CapCut's help centre.
Reviewed October 5, 2026 by the Koldflux team. Each step is compared with CapCut's own documentation (linked above) and with the top search results for this task; where they disagree, the maker's documentation wins. Steps without a source link follow the menu names that several current guides agree on.
