How to use CapCut templates (mobile, PC, from TikTok)
Short answer
In the CapCut mobile app, tap Templates at the bottom, choose a template, tap Use template, select your photos or videos and tap Preview; replace or crop each segment with Edit, then Export. From TikTok, tap the CapCut template link at the bottom left of a video and choose Use template in CapCut. CapCut says the full template library is mobile-only: desktop has a few built-in templates and no community templates.

Method 1: CapCut mobile
Open Templates
Tap Template (Templates) at the bottom of the CapCut home screen and browse or search.
Use the template
Tap the template, tap Use template, choose Videos or Photos and select your media in the order shown.
Preview and edit
Tap Preview. Select a segment at the bottom and tap Edit to replace or crop that clip.
Export
Tap Export at the top right. Delete the CapCut ending clip in the full editor first if you don't want the logo.
Method 2: From a TikTok video
Open the template link
On a TikTok video made with a template, tap the CapCut template link at the bottom left, then Use template in CapCut. The CapCut app opens with the template.
Method 3: CapCut desktop and web
Built-in templates only
Desktop shows a small Templates tab with official templates; use one by replacing the placeholders. You can't browse community templates or open TikTok template links there.
If it doesn't work

Questions people ask
Why can't I find templates on CapCut PC?
CapCut's help says desktop supports only a limited set of built-in templates, with no template discovery or sharing.
Can I save a template to use later?
On mobile, tap the … button on the template page to copy the link or save the template video.
Can I change the music in a template?
Many templates lock the music. Open the project in the full editor (Edit more, where offered) to change audio.
