CapCut how-to
How to reverse a video in CapCut (and when Reverse fails)
Short answer
Select the clip and tap Reverse: on mobile it's in the Edit toolbar under the clip, on desktop and web it's in the toolbar above the timeline. CapCut processes the clip and plays it backwards. If Reverse fails or stalls, remove speed changes, keyframes and heavy effects from the clip first, as CapCut's help recommends.

| Web editor stalls | Refresh the page; CapCut recommends Chrome or Edge for the web editor. |
| Mobile app fails | Close other apps, restart the device or update CapCut. |
| Audio plays backwards too | Detach or mute the clip's audio and add music separately. |
