The best time to post on LinkedIn is Tuesday to Thursday in the afternoon, in your audience’s local time. Tuesday 4-5 p.m., Wednesday 3-4 p.m. and Thursday at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. are each named by at least two of three large studies. Buffer’s 4.8 million posts put Wednesday at 4 p.m. on top; Sprout Social ranks the weekend lowest.

Workday rhythm on LinkedIn
Buffer found 3-8 p.m. on weekdays strongest, with Wednesday the best day, then Thursday and Friday. Sprout Social found late morning to late afternoon on Tuesday to Thursday busiest. Hootsuite is the outlier, leaning to mornings, with Tuesday and Wednesday 8-9 a.m. as its best times.
LinkedIn’s analytics have no hour-by-hour follower activity chart like Instagram’s or TikTok’s, so testing matters more here. Post in a shared slot such as Wednesday 3-4 p.m. and compare impressions against one morning post each week.
What each study measured

Find your own best time on LinkedIn
- Start with a shared slotUse the hours most studies agree on for your first posts, in your audience’s local time.
- Test one alternativeFor two weeks, post similar content at one shared slot and one slot only a single study names, same days each week.
- Compare like with likeCompare reach or views per post after the same number of hours, not total likes days later.
- Check LinkedIn analyticsOn a personal profile, open your post impressions or followers from the Analytics section of your profile; on a Page, use the Page’s Analytics tab. Neither shows an hour-by-hour activity chart, so compare the results of posts published at different times.
Limits and when to use something else
- Study times come from their customers’ accounts, mostly brands. Your audience can differ, especially outside the US and Europe.
- A great slot does not rescue a weak post: the first seconds of a video or the first line of a caption matter more than the hour.
- Where the studies disagree, neither is wrong; they measure different things. Test instead of picking one.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best day to post on LinkedIn?
Wednesday in Buffer’s data, followed by Thursday and Friday. Sprout Social found Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the most consistent.
Should I post on LinkedIn on weekends?
Sprout Social found Saturday and Sunday the worst days. Buffer still lists top hours for weekends (Saturday 9 a.m., Sunday 10 p.m.), but its best days are all weekdays.
Is morning or afternoon better on LinkedIn?
Afternoon in two of three studies: Buffer (3-8 p.m.) and Sprout Social (11 a.m.-5 p.m.). Hootsuite found Tuesday and Wednesday 8-9 a.m. best.
Is the best time to post on LinkedIn the same in India, the UK or Australia?
Yes, as a local time. Every study here converts times to the audience’s own time zone, so 4 p.m. means 4 p.m. in Mumbai, London or Sydney. What changes is your own clock when your audience lives somewhere else: set both time zones in the planner above to see the slot in your time.
Turn one idea into a week of posts
The hard part of posting at the right time is having something ready. Koldflux Studio turns one recording, idea or script into Shorts and carousel posts you approve and export, so the slots in your calendar are filled. It does not publish or schedule posts for you.
- 1 · Recording, idea or script
- 2 · Pick the angles
- 3 · Review and approve
- 4 · Export Shorts and carousels
