Best time to post on X (Twitter)

The two large studies of X disagree on the hour but agree on the days. Both day by day, and a planner for your time zone.

  1. Monday 9 a.m. · named by Buffer
  2. Tuesday 9 a.m. · named by Buffer
  3. Wednesday 10 a.m. · named by Buffer

The file adds 3 repeating 15-minute events with a 10-minute alert, in your audience’s time zone, to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. It is built in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

The best time to post on X depends on the study: Buffer’s 8.7 million tweets did best from 9 to 11 a.m. every day, with Tuesday at 9 a.m. on top, while Sprout Social sees the most engagement Tuesday to Thursday from 12 to 6 p.m. Both rank midweek highest and Saturday lowest, so start midweek and test one morning and one afternoon slot.

Morning or afternoon on X

Buffer ranks each posting hour by the engagement rate the tweets earned, and mornings win on every day of the week. Sprout Social counts when engagement happens and finds noon to 6 p.m. busiest, Tuesday to Thursday. The two lists share no hour, which is itself useful: the “best time” depends on what you measure.

Because X moves fast, the day matters as much as the hour. Both studies agree on Tuesday to Thursday and on Saturday being the weakest day.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best day to post on X (Twitter)?

Wednesday in Buffer’s data, followed by Tuesday and Thursday. Sprout Social found Monday to Thursday strongest.

What is the worst day to post on X?

Saturday, in both Buffer’s and Sprout Social’s data.

Why do the studies disagree about X?

They measure different things. Buffer ranks posting hours by engagement rate; Sprout Social measures when engagement happens across profiles. Test a 9-10 a.m. slot against a 12-2 p.m. slot on the same weekday.

Is the best time to post on X the same in India, the UK or Australia?

Yes, as a local time. Every study here converts times to the audience’s own time zone, so 9 a.m. means 9 a.m. in Mumbai, London or Sydney. What changes is your own clock when your audience lives somewhere else: set both time zones in the planner above to see the slot in your time.

FILL THE SLOTS

Turn one idea into a week of posts

The hard part of posting at the right time is having something ready. Koldflux Studio turns one recording, idea or script into Shorts and carousel posts you approve and export, so the slots in your calendar are filled. It does not publish or schedule posts for you.

  1. 1 · Recording, idea or script
  2. 2 · Pick the angles
  3. 3 · Review and approve
  4. 4 · Export Shorts and carousels
