TikTok Creator Rewards Program: requirements and how it pays
Short answer
To join the TikTok Creator Rewards Program (a separate program from the older Creator Fund) you need 10,000 followers, 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, a personal account, an age of 18 or older (19 in South Korea), an eligible country, and original videos at least one minute long. Rewards start once a video reaches 1,000 qualified For You feed views and are paid on the 15th of the month after you earn them, once the payable amount reaches $10 USD or the local equivalent. TikTok does not publish a rate per view: the payout depends on RPM, which TikTok says varies with watch time, search value, location, engagement and ad value.
Key takeaways
- Join requirements: 10,000 followers, 100,000 views in the last 30 days, personal account, real name and date of birth, 18 or older (19 in South Korea), account in good standing, eligible country.
- Only videos posted after you are approved earn rewards, and each must be original, at least one minute long, and reach 1,000 qualified For You feed views.
- Not original under the rules: Duets, Stitches, slightly modified reposts, looping or photo-only videos, lip syncs, and copyrighted music playing over one minute.
- Payment: calculated the month after you earn, paid on the 15th if the amount is at least $10 USD, through PayPal in most listed countries; a bank transfer can take up to 15 days.
- No rate per view is published. Any "per 1,000 views" figure you see elsewhere is not confirmed by TikTok.
- Not accepted or disqualified? You can appeal within 30 days; appeal review takes about 3 days.
What are the TikTok Creator Rewards Program requirements?
TikTok lists two sets of rules: what you need to join, and what you must keep doing after you are accepted. This table is the join checklist exactly as TikTok words it. Tick every row before you apply.
| Requirement | What TikTok states |
|---|---|
| Country | Be based in a country where the program is available |
| Account standing | No history of repeatedly or irresponsibly violating Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, and no malicious or fraudulent activity |
| Account type | Personal Account. Business Accounts and political or government accounts are not eligible |
| Account details | Authentic information, such as your real name and date of birth |
| Age | At least 18 years old (19 in South Korea), based on the birthdate you entered or confirmed when applying |
| Followers | At least 10,000 |
| Views | At least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days |
| Content | Original content that is eligible for rewards |
| Video length | Videos at least one minute long |
Meeting the numbers lets you apply, not automatically join. TikTok reviews the account and replies in about 3 days.

How do I apply to the Creator Rewards Program?
TikTok documents these steps in the app. Source: TikTok Help Center, Creator Rewards Program.
- Tap Profile at the bottom.
- Tap the Menu button at the top, then select TikTok Studio.
- Tap Creator Rewards Program. TikTok says you will get a reply within approximately 3 days of submitting.
If you are not accepted and believe you are eligible, TikTok says you may appeal within 30 days, or re-apply 30 days after the appeal period. Your account must be in good standing.
Which countries can join the Creator Rewards Program?
TikTok does not print one country list on the eligibility page; it only says you must be based in a country where the program is available. The rewards page names seven countries in its program terms: Brazil, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States. The same page says PayPal is the only payment method for creators in the U.S., South Korea, Brazil, the U.K., France and Germany, and that creators in Japan can choose Payoneer or a bank transfer.
Countries such as Canada and Australia do not appear in those pages. That is not proof the program will never reach them, and it is not proof it is closed: whether your country is eligible is not confirmed here, and TikTok can add countries. The reliable check is the Creator Rewards Program entry in TikTok Studio in your own app. If it is not there, you are not eligible yet.
What counts as original content, and what is disqualified?
TikTok defines original content as quality content designed, filmed and produced by you that shows your expertise, talent or creativity. It says content is not considered original in these cases, and the list is not exhaustive:
- Duet or Stitch videos.
- Content copied completely from others, including content with others' watermarks.
- Content reproduced from others with only slight modifications, such as sped up videos or added filters, fixed text or stickers.
- Content made of videos or pictures from other people or sources without new and personal ideas.
- Looping videos, single or multiple photos, or only text overlays.
- Lip syncs, or copyrighted music that plays for over one minute (such videos risk being muted).
A video also cannot contain advertisements, paid promotions, sponsored content, or be linked to a Series, and it must follow the Community Guidelines, Terms of Service and Copyright Policy. If you sell brand deals, keep sponsored videos separate from the ones you want rewarded; videos made through TikTok One cannot collect rewards.
What are qualified views, and when does a video start earning?
A video earns nothing until it reaches 1,000 qualified For You feed views. TikTok defines qualified views as unique views from the For You feed, and excludes fraudulent, paid, disliked, promoted and artificial views and views under 5 seconds. Views from the same account count only once for a video, and views from people who said they are not interested are not counted.
Only videos posted after you are approved can collect rewards. Videos you posted before joining do not.
How does the Creator Rewards Program pay, and when?
Rewards have two parts. Standard Reward is based on qualified views and RPM, the average rewards per 1,000 qualified views. Additional Reward depends on how well crafted (1080p or higher, polished, over a minute), engaging and specialized the video is. TikTok lists what moves RPM: watch time and finish rate, search value, your location and where the video is viewed, engagement and the ad watch time of your viewers.
TikTok does not publish an RPM or a rate per view, so we do not give one. Any figure from a third party is not confirmed by TikTok.
| Rule | What TikTok states |
|---|---|
| When rewards are calculated | The month after you obtained them |
| Minimum payout | $10 USD or the equivalent local currency |
| Payment date | The 15th of the month, processed automatically to your payout account |
| Estimated rewards in the dashboard | Appear about 1 to 3 days after views; monthly rewards show in the monthly earnings dashboard on the first of each month |
| Final amount | May change because of payment processing fees and other adjustments; the amount received on the 15th is the final figure |
| PayPal | Only method for creators in the U.S., South Korea, Brazil, the U.K., France and Germany; usually processed within 72 hours |
| Japan | Payoneer or bank transfer |
| Bank account | Can take up to 15 days; the bank may hold it longer |
| Setup | Complete payout account setup and onboarding, which may include tax information |
TikTok also says payment timing can change, and that rewards already collected on a video are deducted if that video is later removed.

Is the Creator Rewards Program the same as the TikTok Creator Fund?
No. TikTok's help center lists the Creator Fund and the Creator Rewards Program as separate programs, and says the rewards formula was reformulated for the newer one, with higher average gross revenue per qualified view and rules centered on original, high-quality videos longer than one minute.
Whether the old Creator Fund still accepts members in your country is not confirmed here. If TikTok Studio shows Creator Rewards Program, that is the one to use.
How do I leave the program, or appeal a rejection or a disqualification?
TikTok says all flags and disqualifications can be appealed within 30 days of the notice, and that video appeals do not affect your account. The appeal review takes about 3 days. TikTok's help page does not document a step to leave the program voluntarily: leaving is not confirmed, so check the Creator Rewards Program screen in TikTok Studio.
- Open Profile, Menu, TikTok Studio, then Creator Rewards Program.
- If your account was disqualified, tap Appeal at the bottom and follow the steps.
- If a video was disqualified, tap that video, then tap Appeal at the bottom.
- You can also appeal from the notification in your inbox.
After joining, TikTok can remove you temporarily or permanently for fake views or followers, tampering with the reward or recommendation system, false or abusive content, or other policy violations, depending on severity.
Can I use other TikTok monetization while in the program?
Yes. TikTok says you can take part in other monetization programs and features while enrolled and encourages brand deals, but TikTok One videos cannot collect rewards. If you also earn on YouTube, compare the rules in our guide to YouTube monetization requirements.
